PIASSA DZ is an enterprise B2B automotive digital marketplace and supplier Customer Relationship Management (CRM) ecosystem operating across Algeria. During his tenure as Full-stack Developer at PIASSA DZ (10/2022 - 12/2023), Faycal Rafa contributed across the entire stack, engineering customer-facing mobile applications, architecting the supplier CRM back-office, and building real-time synchronization pipelines.

1. Domain Context: Solving Automotive Supply Fragmentation

The automotive aftermarket in emerging markets is traditionally plagued by inventory fragmentation, inaccurate cross-reference part numbers, and slow phone-based quoting. PIASSA DZ digitized this ecosystem by connecting regional parts distributors, automotive repair centers, and fleet managers onto a unified online transactional platform.

2. Technical Contributions & Architecture

2.1 Vehicle VIN Compatibility Search Engine

  • Built an extensive relational database indexing millions of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts, aftermarket alternatives, engine serial codes, and vehicle chassis numbers (VINs).
  • Designed search algorithms enabling repair technicians to find exact fitment parts in seconds, drastically reducing returns caused by wrong-part ordering.

2.2 Supplier CRM & High-Throughput Inventory Sync

  • Architected a specialized CRM suite tailored to auto parts wholesalers to manage quotations, credit terms, and order fulfillment.
  • Built high-throughput REST APIs and webhooks that synchronize the central marketplace with distributed physical warehouse inventory databases, ensuring real-time stock availability and eliminating phantom listings.

2.3 Flutter Mobile Engineering

  • Developed cross-platform mobile applications in Flutter/Dart for parts distributors and mechanics on the go.
